CISF Constable Driver Education Qualifications
The candidate must pass Matriculation (Class 10 ) or an examination equivalent from a recognized Board. Candidates must present a notification from the government proving the certificate’s equivalent if it was issued by an educational board other than State Boards or Central Boards.
Candidates must also have a valid license to drive heavy motor vehicles and light motor vehicles. This includes motorcycles equipped with gear. The candidates must also possess at least 3 years experience in driving such vehicles. This will be measured from the date they received their LMV license.
CISF Constable Driver Age Limit
As of March 4, 2020, candidates must fall between 21 and 27 years old. Specific categories are eligible for age relaxations:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years.

Children and dependents who were victims of 1984 communal riots or Gujarat riots in 2002 are also eligible to receive a 5-year relaxation, provided they can provide documentation.

CISF Constable Driver Recruitment Selecting Candidates
There are several phases to the recruitment process:
The Physical Standard Test , and the Physical Efficiency Test : The candidates will be evaluated on their fitness by completing an 800 meter run, a long jump and a high jump. The qualifying stage only allows those that pass to move on. Candidates will be measured for their height, weight, and chest. As per the government’s rules, certain categories are eligible for a relaxation of physical standards.
Documentation Test : verification of education qualifications, driver’s license and other documents followed by practical driving test.
Written Exam: A 100-question objective test divided into 5 sections, including General Knowledge, Mathematical Aptitude Analytical Aptitude Observation Ability and English/Hindi language.
Final Merit list and Medical Examination Candidates that pass the previous stages are subjected to a thorough medical examination in order to verify they have met the health standards prescribed. Final merit lists will be based upon the performance of candidates in written exams.
